Latest pictures from Ilio – now with the unwrapping that shows off the day glow (red-orange fluorescent – FS  21563 (MIL)) on the tip tanks and the fuselage band.

Ilio has been cranking on N26AE but will need an extra week to put the final touches. In the meantime, ST-12 is on along with the Belgian insignia

4 more days before Christmas. Planning to pick up N26AE in Corona this Friday – pretty exciting – the gift wrapping is all there…just missing a bow

This is a Medium Green (FS 24102) and Tan (FS 20219) with a clear gloss coat. The final finish with a semi-gloss as it was originally on the Belgian Air Force.

A few days ago, I received a copy of the book “SIAI Marchetti – Agile Penguins in Belgian Skies”. The authors, Serge Van Heertum and Marc Arys, were kind enough to sign it and add a few extras. I can’t thank Serge enough for all of his help he has provided me with, when I was in dire need of detailed information to paint N26AE in the original Belgian camouflage scheme. I can’t recommend enough this book for anyone interested in learning more about this fantastic airplane. Every little detail is captured in this extensible coverage of SF260 in the Belgian Air Force – including the differences between the “M” and “D” models. The pictures are fantastic too.
